CMI Organics, a division of Colorado Materials Inc., is a new operation that Chris Kerr, the President, started to provide our customers a more complete company. Colorado Materials has already been known for its fantastic customer service, commitment to better products and the effort to improve delivery times. CMI Organics was established with this in mind, to provide an economical, earth friendly source for amendments in the region. When asked about the motivation to branch out into producing his own compost, Chris said “to be honest, I have always enjoyed and been intrigued by the composting process and besides the obvious benefit of an additional product in our already vast lineup. I am extremely interested in finding the best way to make amendments inexpensive but of high quality. With our ability to keep overhead low, we intend to be the best option for Colorado and the surrounding areas for quality and competitive compost and soil amendments.” Chris also said that his hope for the future was to expand and develop more sites as the opportunity arises.
